Oracle EBS AI through
Open Interface — not base tables.
ChatFin integrates with Oracle EBS via ADFdi Desktop Integrator, Open Interface tables (GL_INTERFACE, AP_INVOICES_INTERFACE), and Oracle SOA Gateway. Multi-Org ORG_ID context applied automatically. GL period status validated before every posting.
Where generic AI breaks on Oracle EBS 12.x
Oracle EBS 12.x requires specific integration patterns that generic AI cannot navigate. ChatFin was built to handle each one.
Oracle EBS was not designed for REST. The correct import path for GL journals, AP invoices, and AR transactions is Open Interface tables — not direct base table writes or screen scraping.
EBS Multi-Org isolates data by Operating Unit via ORG_ID. A query without the correct ORG_ID returns wrong data or nothing — silently. This breaks every cross-org consolidated report.
Posting journals requires validating that the GL period is Open or Future Enterable via FND_CONCURRENT and GL_PERIOD_STATUSES. AI that ignores period status creates errors that corrupt close timelines.
Oracle Approvals Management Engine (AME) governs transaction approvals. AI that bypasses AME breaks the approval chain and creates un-audited, out-of-policy transactions.
ChatFin uses GL_INTERFACE, AP_INVOICES_INTERFACE, and AR_INTERFACE_LINES_ALL — Oracle's correct import paths with full validation triggers and error handling.
Every query and transaction automatically applies the correct Operating Unit ORG_ID. Cross-org consolidated views aggregate correctly with proper eliminations.
Before every journal posting, ChatFin checks GL_PERIOD_STATUSES. Open periods proceed; future-enterable require approval; closed periods are blocked entirely.
All AI-initiated transactions route through Oracle SOA Gateway and AME approval hierarchy — spending limits, notification rules, and escalation paths all preserved.
Six workflows automated for Oracle EBS 12.x
Pre-built agents deployed in days, not months.
GL Journal via GL_INTERFACE
Import via GL_INTERFACE table. Period status check, ORG_ID scope, cross-validation rules, AME approval routing before Journal Import program.
Period Close Sequence
AP cutoff → AR cutoff → FA depreciation (DEPRN) → GL journals → cross-validation rules. ORG_ID enforced throughout.
AP via AP_INVOICES_INTERFACE
Vendor invoice import, PO/GR match, distribution set validation, routing through AP Invoice Approval Workflow. Duplicate detection enabled.
SLA Subledger Tie-Out
Automated AP/AR/FA subledger accounting (SLA) to GL tie-out. Flags SLA accounting events with GL discrepancies before period close.
Bank Recon via CE Module
Cash Management bank statement matching to EBS GL entries. Unreconciled items flagged. Adjusting entries generated via CE_STATEMENT_LINES.
iExpense Policy Audit
Review iExpense submissions against EBS expense policies. Out-of-policy items flagged, manager approval triggered via AME workflow.
What teams achieve
Faster period close across operating units
Manual ORG_ID context errors
Less AP Open Interface errors

AI Actions Through Oracle's Standard Import Layer
Every ChatFin operation uses GL_INTERFACE, AP_INVOICES_INTERFACE, and AR interface tables — Oracle's validated import architecture, not base table writes.
